The Studio
I am interested in what remains difficult to say directly. In my paintings, color becomes a form of thought, gesture becomes a trace of feeling, and distortion becomes a way of approaching truth. I use simplified forms, fractured contours, unstable proportions, and intense chromatic relationships to create images that hold both intimacy and unease. Maison Noire is a small, single-hand studio. Works begin in graphite and end weeks later in oil, gesso, and gold leaf on linen. Nothing is reproduced. Nothing leaves the room until the surface is settled.
Collectors are welcomed by appointment for private viewings. Dispatch is white-glove and worldwide, with a certificate of authenticity for every original piece.
