Alter Ego

The work investigates the relationship between the self and its double through two distinct anthropomorphic presences brought close without touching. The frontal red figure contains within it a dark, curved form suggesting a secondary body, a shadow, or a concealed identity. To the right, the violet silhouette appears more unstable and diffuse, like an apparition detached from the matter of the ground. The vertical sign at the left, composed of drips and fragmented lines, introduces the idea of an indecipherable writing. The contrast between compact forms and eroded surfaces transforms the encounter into a silent confrontation between assumed identity and its repressed, projected, or still unknown counterpart.Technique: acrylic on stretched canvasSize: 60 x 80 cmYear: 2026
