Ascent

The work proposes a reflection on the impulse towards transcendence through a composition reduced to essential pictorial signs. The central circular element, firm and stable in its presence, is set in dialogue with the elongated form suspended above it, suggesting a tense relationship between support and detachment. The vertical gestural interventions, marked by runs and irregularities, introduce an organic and fragile dimension that contrasts with the rigour of the objectbased forms. The uniformly treated turquoise ground heightens the sense of openness and stillness, allowing the space to breathe with calm coherence.
