Cor[pus]

The work explores the body as envelope, interior space, and territory of memory. The broad, organic red form emerges from the ochre ground and delimits a central void treated as a cavity in which presence is suggested primarily through absence. The barely visible trace of a hand within it introduces an intimate and corporeal dimension, like an imprint retained in matter. The black form in the upper register and the small anthropomorphic signs below function as isolated coordinates, accentuating the disparity of scale and the tension between the monumental and the fragile.
