Garbo

The work explores corporeality as boundary and space of passage through a frontal composition reduced to essentialised forms and firm chromatic contrasts. The silhouette, constructed from a broad paleyellow contour, functions less as anatomical representation than as an envelope for the inner nucleus marked by the brownviolet surface of the torso. The purple ground sustains this relationship between exterior and interior, while the textile intervention introduces a discreet tension among matter, mask, and identity. The small graphic signs heighten the impression of a code or bodily inscription.
