Madame Lila

The work explores constructed identity through a frontal figure reduced to broad, curvilinear forms and carefully distributed chromatic signs. The featureless purple silhouette acquires a sophisticated and subtly theatrical presence through the white surfaces suggesting a garment, armour, or extension of the body. Accents of blue, green, and yellow function both as decorative insignia and as markers of an imaginary anatomy. The reddishbrown ground foregrounds the figure's monumentality and intensifies the contrast between elegance and deformation.
