Membrane

The work explores corporeal matter through an abstract composition constructed from delicate superimpositions of pink, white, beige, and dark accents. The broad, translucent central area suggests tissue, an organic surface, or a form undergoing a slow process of constitution. Eroded edges and differences in texture create the impression of a membrane that separates while simultaneously permitting passage between interior and exterior. Dark signs in the lower register introduce a discreet tension, like traces, accumulations, or fragments of memory retained within matter.
