Reflex Arc

The work explores suspension and fragility through a composition reduced to essential signs, in which the expansive, almost monochromatic space itself becomes a bearer of tension. The pale turquoise ground is traversed by a minimal, fragmentary presence: a dark form isolated in the upper register and several vertical lines descending towards an ambiguous reddish mark poised between trace and corporeal sign. The economy of pictorial means gives the image restrained force, while the relationship among emptiness, verticality, and the intense chromatic accent evokes distance, vulnerability, and the persistence of a presence only faintly suggested.Technique: acrylic on stretched canvasSize: 60 x 80 cmYear: 2026
