The Dance of the Iele

The work explores the relationship between mystery and movement through an abstract composition constructed from lucid geometric forms, forceful chromatic contrasts, and a carefully balanced distribution of pictorial signs. The dialogue between the warm ground, dominated by ochre and brown tonalities, and accents of white, blue, black, and red lends the image dynamism, tension, and symbolic expressivity.
