The House on the Lake

The work explores the relationship between reflection and the fragility of presence through a composition in which an architectural suggestion emerges from a fluid chromatic field dominated by cool blue tonalities and traversed by accents of red, brown, and ochre. The dialogue among the simplified form of the house, the blurred pictorial matter, and its uncertain doubling in the lower register lends the image mystery, taut stillness, and restrained expressivity situated at the intersection of landscape, memory, and reverie.
