The Lake

The work explores the relationship between depth and the germination of organic form through a concentrated composition in which the central nucleus appears to unfold from a dark, dense, and unsettled ground. The dialogue among muted tonalities of green, brown, and black, the floral mass accented with pink, white, and ochre, and the discreet presence of the central element lends the image tension, mystery, and restrained expressivity.
