The Other

The work explores alterity as an inward dimension of the same being. The single, faceless body is constructed from distinct chromatic and gestural registers that make it appear divided among several states of its own identity. The dense, vertical brown area suggests an inner nucleus difficult to access, while the pink and red surfaces traversed by black lines introduce the impression of a fragile, exposed, or fissured anatomy. The blue form within the body functions as a wound, a symbolic organ, or a foreign presence carried within the self.
