The Poet

The work proposes a portrait in which identity is established not through facial features but through their absence. The smooth face, devoid of eyes and mouth, transforms the figure into a withdrawn presence concentrated within its own interior space. The abundant, gesturally treated hair becomes the principal element of structure and tension, while the range of browns, muted reds, and ochres creates a dense, almost mineral atmosphere. The figure appears suspended between appearance and disappearance, between corporeality and thought.
