The Self

The work explores inwardness through an austere composition constructed from dark chromatic layers and gestural interventions of marked expressive charge. Discreet accents of ochre, red, and grey animate the dense pictorial surface, suggesting the fragmentary emergence of an inner presence suspended between withdrawal and disclosure.
