Touches

The work explores the tension between impulse and control through a gestural composition dominated by accents of intense red, deep browns, and interventions of black that structure the pictorial field. The surfaces appear agitated, traversed by sweeping movements and dense accumulations of matter, suggesting an inner energy in continual transformation. Areas of colour coalesce and disperse at once, producing a restless visual rhythm in which gesture becomes a bearer of meaning.
